UGANDA'S EMBASSY IN BERLIN REPATRIATES UGANDANS STRANDED IN GERMANY, AUSTRIA, POLAND AND THE VATICAN

A total of 48 Ugandans and legal residents stranded in Germany, Austria, Poland and The Vatican, on 21st July 2020, departed the Frankfurt am Main International Airport on a repatriation flight bound for Entebbe via Addis Ababa.

The stranded passengers responded to the Embassy's call for registration in May 2020 and plans for their repatriation were put in place by the Embassy of the Republic of Uganda to the Federal Republic of Germany.

The passengers were seen off at the Frankfurt am Main International Airport by Uganda's Ambassador to Germany, H.E. Marcel R. Tibaleka and other Embassy officials who included Ms. Margaret Otteskov and Ms. Claire Adhiambo.

Ambassador Tibaleka thanked the Ugandans and other legal residents for their patience exhibited during the difficult times they had endured as a result of the pandemic and wished them a safe journey.
